ESL with a cultural flair

ESL students participated in the 2019 Get Involved Grenfell Fair.

Grenfell's Office of Engagement has been a major support to English as a Second Language summer programming at Grenfell Campus.

Over the last few summers, our office has provided programming for an English language and summer internship program to participants from our partner institutions in Qatar, Japan and South Korea.

One such program, the Career, Culture & Language Education Experience, welcomed students from South Korea and Qatar. The program participants took in classes and activities related to language and culture, as well as on-the-job internships and excursions to familiarize them with the Canadian workplace environment.

This immersion learning experience is another great opportunity for our campus to continue celebrating its enthusiasm for diversity and promoting Grenfell internationally.

Our immersion programs offer small classes, internship placements on campus or in the community, professional skills training, internship support and evaluation, business/professional English language training, cultural learning programs and excursions for authentic English practice, outdoor activities in a beautiful natural setting and more.
